| Daytona Beach, FL. - December
31, 2003:
DirectPop Corporation, leader in consumer-empowered technology
today announced Users of AOL need not worry about the recent
ruling of Judge Claude Hilton of the U.S. District Court in
eastern Virginia. Judge Claude Hilton said the Virginia courts
did not have jurisdiction over the Florida-based defendants.
The Judge dismissed the lawsuit even though AOL, a unit of Time
Warner Inc., does business in Virginia and the unwanted e-mails
were directed there.
DirectPop Corporation has always stated that stopping unwanted
e-mail would not happen from a law enforcement action or court
action, instead to solve this problem, people need to look
for solutions in the form of technology advancement.
Mail-Block provides the vehicle to combat this problem. Offered
to AOL over 6 months ago both Nicholas Graham and AOL team
assigned to this problem declined to take advantage of our
Mail-Block technology to provide a spam free environment for
its users.
Given the cold facts, AOL was not going to take steps to
ensure e-mail inbox privacy. Mail-Block includes features
to allow the AOL user to signup for the Mail-Block service
and keep their current AOL e-mail account free of junk mail.
AOL users are encouraged
to visit http://www.mail-block.com to take control
of their current AOL account and use the Mail-Block service
to keep their AOL account Spam Free.
